MyJustice has learnt that GESI needs to be linked to service provision for vulnerable people to act to claim their rights. Social behaviour change communication (SBCC) is a participatory methodology that has proved successful to linking GESI to justice services offered to communities. While the political landscape of Myanmar has changed significantly since February 2021, the justice needs at community level have become more pressing. The importance of gender equality and social inclusion have also increased. In response, in 2021 MyJustice conducted extensive training for partners interested in incorporating SBCC with the GESI principles through and project tailored GESI strategy. In 2022, MyJustice aims to continue mainstreaming GESI across projects to ensure that communities receive fair, equal and inclusive justice services.
